2 cups sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1+1/3 cup flaked coconut
mint jelly

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º

In large mixer bowl, cream together sugar & butter. Beat in eggs & vanilla.

Stir together flour, salt, soda & cream of tartar.; Add to creamed mixture & blend well

Stir in oats & pecans

Cover & chill dough 2 to 3 hours. Shape into 1" balls.

Roll in coconut then place on cookie sheets.make an indention in the middle of top.

Bake for 12 minutes. Remove from oven& cool. Fill each well with mint jelly
