Grandma's Corn Chowder Recipe

1/2 cup diced bacon
4 medium potatoes peeled and chopped
1 sm. onion chopped fine
2 cups water
3-4 cups cream style corn
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 cups blend

Directions:
Directions:
Place the bacon in a large pot over medium heat, cook bacon til crisp. Drain and crumble bigger bits of bacon, reserve about 2 T. of bacon fat , return to pot.
Mix potatoes and onion into the pot along with the crumbled bacon. Cook and stir for 5 minutes, then add water and corn. Season with salt and pepper to taste, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer covered for 20 minutes(a little less if potatoes are diced small).
Warm the blend in a small saucepan until it simmers, remove from heat before it boils, then mix it into the chowder just before serving.
