1 1/2 cups Navy beans (soak overnight)
1/4 pound salt pork or pancetta
1 3/4 cups tomato juice
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 large potatoe
1 large onion
1 1/2 cups datalini noodles
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
After soaking beans overnight, put 1/2 teaspoon baking soda with beans and bring to a rolling boil and rinse beans with cold water. Cover beans again with 3 quarts of cold water. cook until tender. Cut up salt pork in small pieces and fry. Remove salt pork from skillet and add 1 1/2 cups of tomato juice, salt, pepper, and garlic. Cook until thick like paste. While paste is cooking, cut potatoe and onion in small pieces and add to beans and water and cook until potatoes and onions are tender. Add paste. Cook for 1/2 hour. Add 1 1/2 cups of Datalini noodles to other ingredients. Cook until noodles are tender. Add salt and pepper to taste.
