1 cup milk
1/2 cup white sugar
2 tsp salt
3/4 cup cold water
1/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup warm water
2 tsp sugar
2 pkg. yeast
2 eggs beaten
7 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup peel
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup mixed fruit
Nuts to taste ( pecans or Walnuts work best)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Scald milk
2. Add white sugar,salt,cold water and shortening
3. Let cool
4.Mix sugar with water. Add yeast. Let rise 10 minutes
5. Put mixtures together and add eggs.Mix well.
6.Add flour,peel,raisins,mixed fruit and nuts
7.Let rise like bread dough.
8.Shape into loaves and let rise again in loaf pans
9.Bake at 375º for approx 40 minutes.
