4 c. flour
1 cup sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening (Butter flavored Crisco)
3 eggs
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 quarts fresh blueberries or canned pie filling

Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. In separate bowl, beat eggs, milk, and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients and mix. Roll out half of dough and put on a cookie sheet. If too soft, just patch and press on bottom. Top with thickened, sweetened blueberries or canned pie filling. Roll out rest of dough. Cut into strips and place in lattice pattern over blueberry filling. Bake at 350º for 30 to 35 minutes.

* Use a recipe and a half for jelly roll pan and 2 qt. of berries. Bake 40 -45 min.
