2 ¼ cups unsifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
¼ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
1 (4-oz.) pkg. Instant vanilla pudding
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 (12-oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour with baking soda. Combine butter, sugars, pudding mix and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture, then chips and nuts. (Batter will be stiff.) Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes.
