Ingredients: Oil for frying
PATTIES: 2 lbs. ground beef ¾ cup minced onion, or ½ (1 oz.) package dry onion soup mix ½ cup bread crumbs 2 eggs 2 TBSP milk 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce salt and pepper
GRAVY: 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced 3 TBSP butter 3 TBSP flour 2 tsp. Worcestershire ½ sweet onion, or ½ (1 oz.) package dry onion soup mix 2 cup beef broth salt and ground black pepper to taste

Directions:PATTIES: Combine ground meat along with other ingredients. Shape into 8 oval patties. Fry 4 minutes each side. Remove patties after cooked and set aside on a plate.
GRAVY: In same pan used for patties, add in sliced mushrooms and onion. Sauté in butter until cooked. Place patties on top of mushrooms.
In a small bowl combine beef broth and flour; mix until smooth. Then to the broth mixture add in the Worcester and remaining dry onion soup if fresh onion was not sautéed with mushrooms.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. |
