1/4 cup tomato paste
2 can peeled San Marzano peeled tomatoes
1/4 cup olive oil
1 garlic clove
1/4 cup chopped onion
(***Enza adds 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot)
1/4 lb ground beef
1/4 lb ground veal
(1/4 lb pork ribs optional)
pinch of salt and pepper
fresh basil and parsley

Directions:
Directions:
In a sauce pan saute onions and garlic (***Enza adds 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot) in olive oil until lightly brown. Add all meats until nicely browned but not cooked through about 5 minutes Add tomatoes, and tomato paste. Simmer on low for at least two hours, stirring frequently. Add basil and parsley at the end to keep flavour of the fresh herbs strongest.
