Ingredients: 1 PACKAGE YEAST 1 TSP. SUGAR 1/4 C. WARM WATER 3/4 C. MILK 1/2 C. SUGAR 1/2 C SHORTENING 2 TSP. SALT 3 WELL BEATEN EGGS 4C. FLOUR MELTED BUTTER CINNAMON AND SUGAR MIXTURE (LIGHT BROWN) CHOPPED WALNUTS

Directions:IN A MEASURING CUP, DISSOLVE 1 PACKAGE OF YEAST+ 1 TBSP. SUGAR IN 1/4 C. WARM WATER, AND SET ASIDE. SCALD 3/4 C.MILK AND ADD TO 1/2C. SUGAR +1/2C. SHORTENING +2 TSP. SALT IN A LARGE BOWL WHEN THIS IS LUKEWARM THEN ADD THE YEAST MIXTURE ADD 3 WELL-BEATEN EGGS AND 4C. OF SIFTED FLOUR (SIFTED IS OPTIONAL)
LET RISE FOR 4-6 HOURS COVER AND REFRIGERATE OVER NIGHT
THE NEXT MORNING:
GREASE TUBE PAN PULL OFF BITS OF DOUGH ABOUT THE SIZE OF WALNUTS AND DIP IN MELTED BUTTER THEN ROLL IN CINNAMON/SUGAR MIXTURE OR CINNAMON/SUGAR/CHOPPED WALNUT MIXTURE AND PLACE IN TUBE/BUNDT PAN IN LAYERS
LET RISE UNTIL DOUBLED ABOUT 3-4 HOURS
BAKE AT 375º FOR 35-40 MINUTES
ALTERNATIVELY, YOU MAY LET THE DOUGH RISE FOR THE FIRST 4-6 HOURS AND THEN MAKE AND ROLL THE BALLS RIGHT AWAY AND REFRIGERATE OVERNIGHT TO LET IT RISE FOR 3-4 MORE HOURS OR JUST LET THEM RISE AGAIN AFTER ROLLING IN BUTTER/CINNAMON/SUGAR MIXTURE (DOUBLED) AND BAKE RIGHT AWAY. IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR TIMING. |
