¾ c. butter, softened
½ c. sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
½ tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instant coco mix
confectioners sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the softened butter and sugar.

Beat in the egg and vanilla.

Combine flour and salt. Add to wet mixture.

Stir in nuts and chips by hand.

Form 1 inch balls by rolling in your palm.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, until brown on bottom.

Move to a rack and then roll in the coco mix or the confectioners sugar.

This is mom's recipe. These are my favorite Christmas cookies that mom made. I loved rolling them in the coco and sugar. With two kids allergic to nuts, I can't add the nuts, but they are still the most delicious cookies ever with the best memories!
