Italian Cream Cake


Ingredients:

1 stick Butter
1/2 cup Shorttening
2 cups Sugar
5 Egg Yolks
2 cups Flour
1 tsp. Soda
1 cup Buttermilk
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 small can Coconut
1 cup Pecans
5 Egg Whites (beaten until stiff)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter & shorteningl add sugar & egg yolks. Add flour, soda, and buttermilk. Mix well then add vanilla, coconut, and nuts. Fold in egg whites. Mix well. Pour into 3 (8 or 9") cake pans.

Bake for 25 minutes at 350º

Ingredients:

1 (8 oz) pkg. Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 stick of butter, softened
1 box Powdered Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 cup Pecans, chopped
1 cup Coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Let cream cheese and margarine get to room temperature. Beat cream cheese and margarine together. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, coconut, and pecans. Ice the cake. Keep refrigerated.
