2 lbs ground beef
2 eggs
3 cups bread crumbs
¼ cup chopped onion
12 oz applesauce

2/3 ketchup to 1/3 water

Mix together and shape into meatballs the first five ingredients. Brown on stove and place in baking dish. Mix together the ketchup and water and pour over meatballs. Bake at 350º for 1 hour. Serve over noodles.

12 lbs = 105 meatballs/7 pans with 14-16 in each

When making large quantities 12 lbs made 105 meatballs/14-16 per 7 foil baking dish.

These where Donna’s specialty. I think she enjoyed making them because she knew how much Eric loved them. Over the years they ended up being our new traditional Christmas Eve dinner.
