1 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. pecans (cut in half)
2 c. candied cherries (cut in half) - red and green

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and powdered sugar well. Add egg, vanilla and flour. Fold in pecans and cherries. Chill dough for 1 hour. Divide dough into thirds. Shape into rolls. Place in waxed paper and chill overnight. Next day, slice 1/4 inch thick. Place on greased sheet. Bake at 325 for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 5-6 dozen.

This is a nice Christmas cookie.
