1 c. crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 egg
¼ c. milk
2-3 c. flour


Filling:
2 c. raisins
½ c. sugar
1¾ c. water
2 T. cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Cream crisco, sugar and egg. Add vanilla. Add salt and baking powder. Alternate milk and flour...mix well. Chill dough 1 hour.

For filling, in a saucepan, combine the cornstarch and sugar. Stir in water until smooth. Add raisins. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir and cook for 3 minutes or until thickened. Cool.

Roll half of the dough out to about ⅛ inch thick. Cut with 2½ inch cutter. Fill with 1 T. of filling. Top with another circle. Cut hole in for steam with thimble. Seal edges.

Bake at 365 10-12 minutes?
