Cream Cheese Spritz

1 cup butter, softened
1 oz pkg full-fat cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
½ tsp salt
1 lg egg yolk
1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
2 ½ cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375º
2. With mixer on med-high speed, beat butter, cream cheese, sugar and salt until creamy.
3. Beat in egg yolk and vanilla, scraping down side of bowl
4. With mixer on low speed, beat in flour until just combined.
5. Load about ⅓ of batter into piping bag fitted with large open star tip. Pipe dough into 2” logs onto cookie sheets, about 2” apart
6. Bake 12-18 minutes or until deep golden brown around edges.
7. Cool on cookie sheet on wire rack for 10 min. With spatula, transfer cookies to rack to cool completely.

5 oz bittersweet chocolate, melted
½ cup finely chopped almond slivers

Directions:

1. cookies are completely cooled, brush ends of cookies with melted bittersweet chocolate.
2. Dip chocolate ends into small bowl of finely chopped almond slivers.
3. Let stand until chocolate sets, about 3 hours.
