Cake:
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 t. baking powder
8 eggs
1 t vanilla
1 cup milk
3 1/2 c. cake flour

Cake Filling:
1 cup crushed nuts
8 egg yolks
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. coconut
1/2 box raisins
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together. Sift dry ingredients
together and add alternately with milk to which vanilla
has been added. Fold in egg whites that have been
beaten stiff. Pour into two 9-inch cake pans and bake
at 350* for 25-30 minutes.

Filling:
Beat egg yolks slightly. Add sugar and
butter. Cook in double broiler until thick,
stirring constantly. After removing from
hea tand while hot add raisins, coconut,
nuts, and vanilla. Spread thick. Sprinkle
top with more coconut.
