Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Bottom:
2 Cups Flour
1/2 Cup powered sugar
1 Cup butter

Lemon Top:

4 Eggs
2 egg yolks (optional, not in Grandma's recipe but helps the lemon custard)
Juice of two lemons (about 1/2 cup)
2 Cups Sugar
4 level teaspoons flour

Directions:
Directions:

Bottom:
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. You can use a slightly smaller baking dish for a taller bar but I made it with 9x13 and it filled the pan adequately.

Mix together real good and bake for 20 minutes in 350 oven

Lemon Top:
Mix together and pour on baked crust. Bake 25 minutes in 350 oven

Garnish: Dust the cooled top with confectioners sugar. Not in original recipe but I know Grandma did this.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I made this recipe recently with the optional 2 egg yolks. The shortbread crust was amazing and the finished lemon bar reminded me of Grandma's.
