6 slightly beaten eggs
1 cup sugar
⅛ tsp. salt
½ gallon scalded milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine eggs, eggs, sugar, salt-gradually stir in hot milk. Cook in double boiler, over hot, but not boiling water, until mixture coats the spoon, stirring constantly. Add vanilla; chill rapidly.

My grandmother used to make this. Grandpa (GrandBob) loves it and I used to make it for him for special occasions.
