Combine:
1/2 t. soda
1 t. salt
3/4 c. flour

Cream:
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar

Add:
1 egg
1 T. water
1/2 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix well and add flour ingredients. Stir in 1 1/2 c. Quaker Oats. Nutmeats and or raisins may be added, if desired, also chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon on greased cooky sheet. Bake in 350º oven 10 min. or until set.
