1 cup softened Crisco
2 eggs
3 ½ cup plain flour
2 cups dates
2 cups red – green cherries (1/2 lb of each)
2 cups sugar
½ cup buttermilk
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 T vanilla flavoring
Cinnamon & cake spice

Mix together & let set overnight in fridge. Drop in small balls on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 – 13 minutes.
