Mix together:
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sugar

Cut in 1 cup soft butter to fine particles.
Add 1 lightly beaten egg
3 T milk
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
If too dry add a little more milk. Can chill if you want. Roll out to 1/8 inch. Cut out with cutters. Sprinkle with sugar or decorate. Place on uncreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400º 5-8 minutes
