1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 cups self-rising flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb.chopped nuts
1 box raisins
4 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
Add flour and milk, alternating by thirds.
Add eggs all at one time and mix well.
Add vanilla.
Coat raisins and nuts lightly with ¼ cup flour and fold gently into the batter.
Pour batter into a greased and floured tube pan (pound cake pan).
Bake for 1 hour or until cake pulls away from sides of the pan.
Test in the center and if not done, bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
