Notes: These cookies have always been a hit for each generation. I don't remember my Great Grandma Cell ever making them, but my mom made them and said that grandma passed the recipe down.
My favorite memories of Grandma Cell was sneaking into her house, from playing outside, and sneaking a cookie out of her cookie jar. They were usually the store bought oatmeal raspberry filled ones. Sometimes she would catch me and get after me. :o) I also remember watching her eat her lunch, a half of sandwich and diet soda, while playing solitaire at the table.
I was the oldest grandchild. Grandma Cell passed when I was about 8 years old. Her birthday was Valentine's Day and she passed at age 71.
