1 1/2 c. Sugar
1/2 c. Butter
1/2 c. Shortening (regular Crisco)
2 Eggs
2 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 t Cream of Tartar
1 t Baking soda
1/4 t Salt
3 T Sugar
1 T Ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º F.

1. Mix sugar (1 1/2 c.), butter, shortening, and eggs until creamy.

2. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.

3. Shape dough into 1" balls. Mix 3 T sugar and 1 T cinnamon in bowl. Roll cookie balls in sugar mixture and place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

4. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.

NOTE: Dough balls may be frozen on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper . When frozen store in a Ziploc bag and place back in the freezer for later baking to have fresh baked cookies anytime! Dough and baked cookies freeze well.
