1 C. sugar
1/3 C. white corn syrup
1/4 C. butter or margarine
4 qts. popped corn or 2 large microwave popcorn
3/4 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 C. water

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, syrup, butter, water, salt, and vanilla until it forms a brittle ball in cold water. pour over popped corn. Quickly mix well and press lightly into balls. Spraying hands with non-stick spray or butter helps.

Alternative Recipe:

1 1/2 C. sugar
1/2 C. syrup
1/3 C. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1/2 C. water
1 tsp. butter flavoring
2 gallons popped corn

Cook between HARD BALL and 250º
