Directions: |
Directions:In large bowl, cream together Butter and Sugar until smooth. Beat in Vanilla, Eggs. Stir in Flour, Baking Powder and Salt by hand. Cover and chill dough for at least 2 hours - or overnight. Split dough into 3 or 4 balls and wrap each in plastic wrap and refrigerate. Preheat oven to 375º. Roll out dough on sugar or powdered sugar surface (not flour) 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes. We use a small glass or coffee cup to shape them. Put in freezer (on paper or in air tight container) until ready to cook. Bake 6-8 minutes (longer, if necessary). Remove from oven when they are just beginning to become golden on the bottom. Don't overcook. |
