1 1/2 cups butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3 1/2 cups flour
Jam - strawberry or raspberry

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and butter; add eggs and extracts; blend well. Add dry ingredients; blend well. Roll into balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 400º for 8 minutes (until just barely golden.)
Options:
1. Before baking, roll into ball, press down with wooden spoon handle to form a small indentation; don't press down too hard. After baking, let cool and then fill with jam.
2. Before baking, roll into ball; bake; immediately place warm cookie in a dish of powdered sugar.
