1 egg
½ Cup shortening
1 Cup sugar
¼ Cup sour milk (sour with a couple drops of lemon juice or vinegar)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3-4 very ripe bananas
2 Cups flour
1 Cup chocolate chips (optional)
1/4 Cup walnuts (optional)



Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar, shortening and eggs. Add milk, baking soda and salt and mix. Alternately add the mashed bananas and flour a little at a time.
Grease a loaf pan prior to filling.
Bake at 350º for about an hour.
