1½ cups powdered sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp almond extract
2½ cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
Directions:
Directions:
Mix powdered sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
Mix in flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
Divide dough into halves.
Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.

Heat oven to 375 º
Roll each half to 3/16 inch thick on lightly floured board.
Cut into shapes.
Sprinkle with granulated sugar if desired
Place on lightly greased sheet.
Bake until edges are light brown 7-8 minutes.
