Bourbon Bacon Deviled Eggs Recipe

Ingredients: Bacon: ½ c. brown sugar 1 T. Dijon mustard 2 tsp. maple syrup ½ tsp. salt 3 T. bourbon 1 lb. bacon
Eggs: 12 hard cooked large eggs, peeled ½ to ⅓ c. mayonnaise 1 T. maple syrup 1 T. lemon juice or apple cider vinegar 1 T. yellow mustad ¼ tsp. pepper ¼ tsp. paprika ½ tsp. salt fresh minced chives

Directions:1. Cut bacon into 3/4 inch pieces and fry until crispy over medium low heat. Drain on paper towel. Reserve 2 T. of drippings. Crumble bacon into small bits. 2. Add remaining bacon ingredients to skillet and mix well. Heat through and add bacon bits. Spread bacon bits mixtue on wax paper to cool completely and dry. Can be made ahead to this piont and refrigerated. 3. Cut eggs in half and remove yolks. Place whites in egg plates. In a food processor, mix yolks with remaining ingredients until very smooth. Mix in a quarter to half of the bacon bits, depending on your preference. 4. Spoon egg mixture into egg whites. Top with more bacon bits and chopped chives. Chill until ready to serve. |
