1 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 egg (separated)
1 Tbs hot water
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 ½ tsp baking powder
12 oz bag (2 cups) chocolate chips
1 c. brown sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and add sugars, egg yolks, hot water and vanilla and beat together. Sift together dry ingredients and gradually add to form dough. Put dough into 13x9 pan. Over it, sprinkle chocolate chips.
Beat 2 egg whites until runny. Gradually add final cup of brown sugar and beat until stiff.
Spread over top of dough base.

Bake at 350 ºF for 30 minutes
