3 T. fat
1 clove garlic chopped
3 lbs. short ribs cut up
3 med. onions sliced
1/2 c. vinegar
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1 c. beef stock
1/8 tsp pepper
1 c. catsup
1 tsp curry powder
1 T. br. sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard

Heat fat in heavy skillet add garlic and ribs. Brown well on both sides.
Transfer meat and drippings to large casserole or dutch oven.
Add onions to meat .
Mix remaining ingred. pour over meat.
Cover tightly and bake at 350 for 1 hr. and 30 min.
