1 cup Crisco (Crisco is best shortening for this)
2 cups of sugar
5 eggs... beat in one at a time
I cup of sweet milk
2 cups of plain flour
3/4 cup of self-rising flour
2-3 tablespoons of butternut flavor

FROSTING
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup whole milk
2 egg yolks
2/3 stick of butter
1 cup coconut
1 teaspoon butternut flavor

Great and flour tube cake pan (bundt)
Bake at 300º for one hour and 15 minutes
Let cake stand in pan for 10 minutes. Take out of pan and wrap in aluminum foil while still warm.
Before icing cake, place on cake tray and remove aluminum foil.


Frosting:
Beat egg yolks until smooth. Add sugar, milk, and butter. Cook on stove until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Cool.

Spread on cake. Sprinkle cake with the coconut.
