1 lb. raisins, stewed 15 minutes in 2 c. water
Add 1 c. cold water
2 c. sugar
½ c. butter

Add:
4 c. flour
1 Tbsp. soda
½ tsp. nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon
1 tsp. salt

Stir together
Bake in 13” x 9” pan at 350 — bake until toothpick inserted comes out clean
