1 cup Butter
1/2 cup sugar
3 hard cooked egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
Strawberry jelly

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter & sugar until light & fluffy, using electric mixer. Break up egg yolks & beat into creamed mixture. Add vanilla.

Gradually stir in flour, mixing well. Cover & chill in refrigerator 1 hour.

Shape dough into 1" balls. Place balls 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Make small indent on top of each cookie with finger.

Bake in 375degree oven for 7-8 minutes, or until light golden brown. Remove from oven & fill dents with jelly.Return to oven & bake 1 to 2 minutes more for jelly to set. Remove from sheet and cool on
racks.

These are the best butter cookies! Claire and I like to make them for Christmas, but the recipe doesn't make enough, because we eat them still warm.
