Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup Butter
¼ cup Confectionary Sugar (plus more to roll cookies in)
2 cups sifted Flour
1 cup ground Almonds
1 tsp. Vanilla
Jar of Maraschino Cherries, cut in half

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add everything but cherries and mix well.
Take 1 good tsp. and form into a ball. Push ½ cherry into it and make a smooth ball.
Bake for 20-25 mins
(Kathy's pans take 20-21 mins, Aunt Dotty's take 18 mins)
While cookies are hot, roll in sugar. I find they get gummy so when they cool I re-roll them again in sugar.
