Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is a Mennonite recipe from my great-grandma. My
grandpa made sure to share the recipe to his wife so my family
could experience these delicious, doughnut-like cookies! Also
known as “Portzelki”, we eat this dessert on New Year’s Eve,
dipped in honey or maple syrup. You can sprinkle powdered sugar
on top. Whatever the chosen topping, they are worth the time!
