FILLING INGREDIENTS:

½ string of figs (soaked overnight)

½ cup of raisins

½ cup dates, cut up

¼ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp allspice

1 cup honey

½ tsp orange flavoring

½ tsp orange zest

¼-½ tbsp Amaretto


DOUGH INGREDIENTS:

1 stick of margarine

¾ cup sugar

3 eggs

3-4 cups flour

⅛ cup baking powder (approx. 3 tsp)

¼ tsp salt

¼ cup milk

1 tsp almond or vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all filling ingredients and set aside for one day.

Mix all dough ingredients together well. Roll out the dough.

spoon the filling onto the dough in spoonfuls and fold over creating individual filled cookies.

Bake at 350º for 12-15 minutes.

Ice with confectioners sugar and colored sugar.
