1 cup butter (or half margarine and half butter)
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. Beat butter in a mixmaster until soft
3. Add brown sugar, beat
4. Add vanilla, beat
5. Add flour 1 cup at a time and beat
6. Lightly beat in chocolate chips
7. Pat evenly and firmly onto a cookie sheet (about 10”x11)
(We just made it shorter than the pan. For thicker cookies use a 9x13” pan)
8. Bake for 16-20 minutes or until the edges look golden brown
9. Let cool about 3 minutes then cut into desired sized cookies
10. Let cool before removing from pan
11. These freeze well and taste great with ice cream for dessert!

Dainen and Emelia love baking and have helped Auntie Chris with many cookie and cake recipes. We chose this recipe because it is so easy to remember the 5 ingredients and their quantities. Plus....THEY’RE YUMMMY! Who doesn’t like chocolate chips!?
