Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 T butter
3 T cooking oil
1 T salt
3 T sugar
3 c boiling water
2 pkg yeast
1/2 c warm water
1 t sugar
2 eggs, beaten
8 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
1) Put the first 4 ingredients in a large bowl and add 3 c boiling water to it. Stir occasionally and allow to cool to 108º (or slightly warmer than your finger when inserted . . . should be able to keep your finger inserted without it being too hot).
Wait until it has cooled to the 108º before proceeding to the next step.

2) In a separate small bowl or cup put 1/2 c of warm water in it and then mix in the 2 pkg of yeast and 1 t sugar.

3) Mix the yeast mixture into the 108º cooled mixture.

4) In the cup that previously held the yeast mixture, beat the 2 eggs and then add them to the overall mixture created in
step 3.

5) Now mix in the 8 c flour into the mixture created in step 4. You will be forming it into a large ball. You may have to
add extra flour if the dough is really sticky. Put the dough ball back into the bowl it was mixed in and spread butter
over the top of the ball and then cover the bowl with a towel. Let the dough rise until it doubles in size.

6) Dust the table with flour. Put the dough ball onto the floured table and kneed the dough for 10 minutes.

7) Cut the dough in half and put each half in one of the 2 (2# bread baking pans) greased pans.

8) Bake the loaves for 45 minutes at 350º.

9) Leave the loaves in the pans for a few minutes and then let them finish cooling on a wire rack.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is something that Grandma Linda's children, Sheri, Colleen and Darin remember from when they were little. The smell of this bread baking in our home in Wauwatosa is a very fond memory for us and it is one we now share with her grandchildren Tyler, Trevor, Chloe and Zach from when they spent/spend time at Grandma Linda and Grandpa Tom's house. One of the best things in life is cutting the end off of one of these freshly baked loaves and putting butter and honey on it.
