Sift Together
3 ½ cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp soda

Cream together
1 cup shortening and 1 cup peanut butter
Gradually add 1 cup sugar and 1 cup brown sugar
Cream together

Add
2 unbeaten eggs
4 Tbl milk
2 tsp vanilla
Beat well

Directions:
Directions:
Beat in the in the dry ingredients gradually. Mix thoroughly.
Shape by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Roll in sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheets
Bake at 375º for 8 minutes.
Remove from oven and place a solid milk chocolate candy kiss on top of each cookie pressing down so the cookie cracks around the edge.
Return to over; bake 2-5 minutes longer.

You can substitute candy pumpkins for the chocolate kiss.
