½ cup Butter
½ cup Crisco
1 cup Sugar
3 Eggs (well beaten)
3 ½ cups Flour
1 tsp. Soda
2 tsp. Cream of Tarter
1 ½ tsp. Vanilla
⅛ tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º - Bake time: 8 to 10 minutes

Cream butter, shortening and sugar together.
Add well beaten eggs and vanilla, mix well.
Sift flour, soda, salt and cream of tarter. Add gradually to creamed mixture, mix well.
Chill dough 2-3 hours or let set over night in refregerator.
Roll out on lightly floured board to ⅛" thick.
Cut with cookie cutter and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with sugar (put sugar in large salt shaker and it will sprinkle more evently).
Bake in moderage overn (375º) for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.
