2 cups of butter, 3 tbls confectionery sugar, 2 beaten egg yolks, 1 oz orange juice, 1 cup finely chopped walnuts, 1 tsp baking powder, 4½ cups flour and confectionery sugar for dusting
Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter for 15 minutes, blend in sugar, beaten egg yolks, flavoring,and nuts. Sift dry ingredients in slowly. Shape into balls the size of a walnut. Bake at 420º for 15 minutes till very light brown, they will burn very quickly so keep an eye on them. While still warm I find if you have a good base of confectioner sugar on a cooled cookie sheet and carefully transfer them to the sheet, it easier to sift over the top of cookies. If you find you can roll them ,go for it, but they are very fragile. Cool and place in small cupcake holders. Makes about 10 dozen small cookies. They are very rich!
