2¼ C all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
¾ C butter or margarine, softened
1 C granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 T milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 C nuts, chopped finely
1 C maraschino cherries, chopped finely
2⅔ C corn flakes cereal, crushed
15 maraschino cherries, quartered

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Lightly spray cookie sheets with cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
Cream together butter and sugar, until light and fluffy. Add eggs. Beat well. Stir in milk and vanilla extract. Add flour mixture, combining thoroughly. Stir in nuts, dates and ⅓ C cherries.
Portion dough using a level Tablespoon. Shape into balls. Roll in crushed corn flakes. Place about 2" apart on baking sheets that are coated with cooking spray. Top each cookie with a quarter cherry. Store in air-tight container.
