2¼ c. flour
½ t. salt
¼ t. soda
¼ c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
⅓ c. milk or more
1 t. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Add milk, vanilla, shortening and eggs to dry ingredients. Beat on No. 3 speed about 1 minute. Add nuts and beat 1 more minute.
Drop on greased cookie sheet by teaspoons about 2 inches apart. Bake 12 minutes in 400º oven.
