1 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, separated
2 cups flour
1 cup crushed walnuts
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream together sugar and butter. Add slightly beaten egg yolks and vanilla. Blend in flour and roll into balls about the size of walnuts. Dip balls in unbeaten egg yolks and then chopped walnuts. Place on cookie sheet and press each ball in center with thimble. Spoon a small bit of raspberry jam into each indent.
Bake for 12-14minutes on middle rack of oven.

In my oven 14 minutes work best. I have found that they bake and brown more evenly without parchment paper.
