1/3 c. flour
2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1 T. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Using a double boiler, scald milk. Mix dry ingredients together. Pour scalded milk over dry ingredients stirring constantly. Cook until thick and smooth. Beat egg yolks and add small amount of hot mixture to them. Combine with remaining custard and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla.
