butter
sugar
dark brown sugar
eggs
light brown sugar
chopped pecans
shredded coconut, tossed in flour
vanilla
powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream ˝ cup butter with ˝ cup dark brown sugar.
Press into a greased 8x8 pan, spreading it evenly,
Bake 350* for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, beat 2 eggs until frothy and gradually add 1cup light brown sugar, Beat until thick. Then, add 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans and ˝ cup shredded coconut which has been tossed with 2 Tbsp flour. Season with 1 tsp vanilla and a pinch of salt.

Spread this thick batter onto the baked crust. Bake for 20 minutes at 350*.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into 1 inch squares,

grandma always had a batch of these in the freezer for when unexpected guests arrived - which was often! We soon got used to and preferred eating them frozen! If there is a family legacy, this is it.
