¾ lb steak
3-4 tbsp flour
1 clove garlic
3 tbsp oil
2 large onions sliced thin
1 can mushrooms
2 tbsp salt
½ tsp pepper
1 large green pepper
Pinch sweet basil
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 c water

Directions:
Directions:
Cut meat into thin strips. Dust in flour. Brown meat. Turn heat to low. Add garlic, onion, mushrooms, salt and pepper. Cook and stir gently for 2 min. Add tomato sauce, water, sweet basil, and green pepper. Cover tightly and simmer 20 min.

Grandma would always talk about how everyone wanted her to make peppered veal. By the time everyone made their requests of what they didn’t want in it she said she should just put a pot of water on the table.
