1 Pound Ground Beef
1 Onion cut up
1 Green Pepper - cut up or 1 Red Pepper cut up.
(I personally believe the Red Pepper helps make the sauce sweeter)
1 clove of Garlic - cut up
1 quart Tomato's - squish to cut them up
1 Tsp. Oregano
Salt and Pepper to taste
If Tomato's have an acid taste to them, add a couple of tablespoons of Sugar

1 Box of Angle Hair Spaghetti or the kind you prefer.

In Frying Pan fry Ground Beef in Olive Oil. Add cut up Onion, Green Pepper or Red Pepper and Garlic. Sauté a few minutes. Place meat mixture in a medium sized pot.

Add squished tomato's, salt, pepper, oregano and sugar.

Cook slowly for 30 min. or so. Continue to taste the sauce for any additional seasoning needed.
The sauce should not have an acid taste to it. If it does, add a little more sugar. Can add 1 TBSP.
Olive Oil if desired.

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Can add 1TBSP. oil if desired then add Spaghetti to boiling water.

Cook until Spaghetti is tender. - Drain into a colander. Place cooked Spaghetti into a large serving dish and then pour cooked Spaghetti Sauce over the Spaghetti.

Serve. Some people may like Grated Parmesan Cheese.

This recipe was Grandmother Isabelle "Meme" Appleman's recipe. She used to call it "American Spaghetti". I rather assume because it was not Italian. All of the family loved it.
